Matcha Beer
A refreshing beer with a lingering note of Japanese green tea. The crisp, clean finish of the beer stays intact, while matcha adds a soft touch of bitterness and a mellow depth.
Ingredients (serves 1)

| Matcha | 1–1.5 g |
| Hot water | 1 tbsp (about 80°C / 175°F) |
| Beer | 1 bottle (330 ml); pilsner or lager recommended |
Instructions
- Add 1–1.5 g of matcha to a katakuchi matcha bowl, pour in 1 tbsp of hot water, and whisk with a chasen until smooth.
- Pour the beer into a glass, taking care not to create too much foam.
- Gently pour the whisked matcha over the beer, and enjoy.
