There are two main types of paper filter shapes: conical and wave. The shape of the paper filter to be used depends on the shape of the dripper, but ORIGAMI Dripper allows both types of paper filter. Which paper filter to use is one of the most important factors when brewing delicious coffee. Even with the same coffee beans, the flavor of the coffee can change just according to changing the paper filter.
The wave type makes a thin layer of coffee powder and has a high extraction efficiency, so the extracted coffee tastes sweeter. On the other hand, the conical type allows for a thicker layer of coffee powder, which produces a difference in the substances dissolved from the upper and lower layers of powder, resulting in a coffee flavor that is brighter and more acidic.
