There may be uneven coloring or glaze dripping. The charm of handmade dishes lies in the fact that no two are exactly alike. These are the expressions of tableware. The tableware has been inspected by the craftsman and is considered a good product.
*We have tried to make the photos on this site as close to the actual products as possible, but please understand that the photos may look different from the actual products depending on the viewing environment.
【Iron Powder】
Iron powder is the state in which the iron originally contained in the clay is oxidized in the kiln during the pottery firing process, resulting in black spots that appear on the surface of the tableware.
【Glaze】
Glaze is applied on tableware by hand, one by one, and with care, so it may not be applied evenly. There may be areas where the glaze is not applied, traces of glaze that have run off, or areas where glaze has accumulated. Please enjoy this as a characteristic of the dish.
【Uneven Color】
Pottery is fired in a high-temperature kiln, but the fire at that time is not consistent. Therefore, even if the same glaze and clay are used, there will be variations in the finished product. The color, luster, and texture of each piece may differ, and burn marks may also appear. These varied expressions are one of the unique charms of pottery.
We hope you will enjoy it as one of the beauties of ceramics; no two pieces are the same.
