Moritaka Yoshita

TRIPWARE is designed by Moritaka Yoshita, head of Yoshita Handi-Design Studio. You may have heard of his name if you like industrial design or Sori Yanagi. He was born in Kanazawa, Ishikawa prefecture in Japan and studied design. At age 23 he became a member of Yanagi Industrial Design Institute, studied design and folk art under Sori Yanagi. As a member of the Yanagi Industrial Design Institute,he was in charge of the design of the Sori Yanagi Design series of

...... stainless steel pots, pans, kitchen tools, strainers, cutlery, kitchen knives, heat-resistant glass bowls, etc., as well as the reprinting of tableware and other products. At Yanagi Industrial Design Institute, they always make models when designing. The designers themselves use the models to check the ease of use and the balance of the shapes to find the direction of the design. This kind of experimentation with model making is carefully repeated many times until the design is complete. Sori Yanagi's philosophy and attitude toward manufacturing is inherited in Mr. Yoshita's designs. We hope you will find it through TRIPWARE.

Global cuisine

TRIPWARE’s minimal style suits every types of cuisine. From noodles and rice to salads and vegetables, TRIPWARE bowls, plates and lids are perfect for every meal. They are stackable and able to be stored in compact spaces.

Reduce the use of plastic wraps

TRIPWARE contributes to sustainable living with functional design. The multifunctional lids help reduce the use of plastic wrap.

The size of the LID is made to fit BOWL and STRAIGHT BOWL. LID fits perfectly in two different ways. By using LID, you can reduce the use of plastic wrap.

...... Plastic wrap is popular in the United States and as one of the research shows that about 80million people used at least 1 roll of plastic wrap in 6 month, and 5.3 million Americans used 10 or more rolls / boxes of rolls / boxes of plastic wrap in 2020. Plastic wrap is one of the big reasons of environmental pollutions as they are difficult to recycle and potentialy contains harmful chemicals.

Microwave and Dishwasher safe

TRIPWARE is microwave safe. The lids can also be used as a small serving plate or saucer under the straight bowls. For more sustainable food storage, use the lids to cover the food and store the stackable bowls and plates. Cover the food on the plate with a bowl to keep it for later. This small change can make a big difference in plastic wrap use. TRIPWARE is made from high quality materials that are dishwasher safe.
