What do you need to drip at home?
Coffee beans, dripper, paper filter, kettle, scale, and grinder (below are examples)
*If you don't have a scale for coffee, you can just use a kitchen + smartphone timer instead.
*If you don't have a grinder, have it ground at a coffee shop.
How much coffee and water do you need for a cup of coffee?
Coffee Beans: 14-16g (ground)
Hot water: 200-250g at about 90 celsius or 194 farenheit
3 basic setps for dripping at home
1. Set the timer and start extraction. Pour hot water until all the coffee powder is soaked.
2. After waiting for about 30 seconds, pour the remaining amount of hot water in 2 to 3 times.
3. Extraction ends when the water is completely drained.
These are the basics of dripping coffee at home. But since the brewing method differs depending on the coffee shop and coffee, they also recommend you to talk to the barista of the coffee shop where you purchased the coffee beans for the recommended recipe!
